Thrash Motel

The Thrash Motel were a Thrash Metal formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Their artistic proposal intended to revamp the old-school Bay Area Thrash Metal sound from the 1980s.

The bassist Guilherme Aarão drew the main typography, asking me to put the letters in perspective and place them over the word "Motel". The whole design would remind the chrome and neon sign effects present in many iconic Metal record covers and logos. The frontman and guitarist Renato Maia brought some overall insights, and a new artwork was born.

The band split up in 2012 but left some nice songs anyway.
